How to Create Goals

Use Resilia’s Impact Objectives tool to track and visualize the progress you're making toward the outcomes you set out to achieve toward your mission. Doing so will enable better management and alignment across your organization and programs. Follow these steps to start tracking progress toward your goals:

Step 1: Decide if your goal is measurable through numbers

The Impact Objectives tab provides a platform to monitor both quantitative and qualitative goals.

For qualitative goals, click 'Add Goal', specify the success indicator, and click 'Save Goal'. Progress can be tracked through written comments and updates instead of numerical metrics.

For quantitative goals, track progress in the Progress Chart tab by selecting 'Create Chart'. This guides you through creating a chart to capture numerical data from various dimensions.

Ensure that all chart inputs represent measurements of your impact goals, facilitating progress tracking.

Creating a progress chart involves establishing clear targets and utilizing a specific metric for focused monitoring by your team. This clarity aids in understanding your objectives and tracking progress effectively.

To get a deeper and more complete understanding of the impact you're making, try measuring goals across different dimensions. These dimensions can include different populations or segments, allowing you to gain a more detailed and comprehensive view of your overall impact.

Step 2: Set a starting value

If you've already made some progress towards a goal, you can set a starting point or initial value. This helps you accurately track your progress from that specific point onward.

You can add a starting value by simply adding your first round of quantitative data to the goal. Do this by clicking the  'Add Data' button on the goal itself.
