Sharing and Managing Stories

After creating a Story in Resilia, learn how to share it with supporters and manage it within your account.

Congratulations on creating your impact story in Resilia! Now it's time to share it with your donors and funders. Here's how you can share your story:

Sharing Your Story Outside the Application

  1. After publishing your story or clicking the "Share Story" button, a sharing modal will appear.
  2. Select your preferred sharing method from the options provided:
    • Post directly to your social media accounts on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
    • Email your contacts.
    • Copy the public link and share it through other means.
    • Create a PDF and share it as a file.

Sharing Stories with Funders

Resilia now allows you to share your stories directly with your sponsoring funder through the platform. These shared stories will appear for the funder on their side of the platform. To share with a funder, your account type must be “Admin”. For more information on account types, read the article on adding and managing team members.

  • In the sharing modal, after publishing a story, click the "Share with Funder" button.

When reviewing all stories your organization has created, there is a Shared with Funder column in the story table. If the story has been shared with a Funder, the Funder’s name will appear.

To unshare a story, select the "Unshare with Funder" option from the three-dot menu. This will remove the Funder's access to this story.

To edit a story previously shared with a Funder, select the "Edit Story" option from the three-dot menu, make the desired changes to the story, and select "Publish Changes" at the top right of the screen. The Funders will now see the updated story on their side of the platform.

This feature provides a powerful way to update your funders on the impact you're making or inform them about upcoming events.

Engagement Metrics

On the Impact Stories page, you can find key metrics that help you track your supporters' engagement with your stories. These metrics include:

  • Average click-through rate, which represents the percentage of story views where the supporter clicked on the call-to-action button.
  • Total views across all stories.
  • Total clicks on the call-to-action button.
  • Total number of stories published.

Managing Existing Stories

The Stories page displays a table containing stories created across your organization. Each story in the table is accompanied by engagement metrics at an individual story level.

To edit a draft story, click on the row to enter edit mode. To edit a published story, click the three dots and then “Edit Published Story”.

For additional options, click the three-dot menu, which provides the following additional actions:

  • Share story: Explained above.
  • Copy Public Link: This copies the URL to paste anywhere else you want to share.
  • Duplicate: This allows you to create a copy of the story, expediting the process of creating a new story.
  • Edit Published Story: This allows you to make and publish changes to the story.
  • Unpublish Story: This action puts the story back into draft mode, disabling the public link, and removing the Funder's access to the story if previously shared with the Funder.
  • Archive Draft: This removes the story from your account. To recover an archived story, contact Customer Success (success@resilia.com).
