How can I track and monitor DEI strategies using Resilia’s Nonprofit Platform?

By regularly measuring progress towards organizational DEI goals, you will be able to visualize your successes and opportunities for improvement. 

You can input DEI objectives and goals to create transparency among your organization, showing your progress towards your overall goals. You will be able to customize the measures you wish to capture in relation to your goals.

Navigation to the Impact Menu on the left navigation, select Objectives, and complete the following steps. 

Step 1: Add an Objective 

An objective represents a high-level strategic outcome that your organization aims to achieve. For DEI, this may include representation among your board members, staff, etc. among other outcomes to increase equity among your staff and within the population you serve. 

Step 3: Add Goals to Your Objective

Goals are measurable outcomes that act as stepping stones toward reaching your larger objective. Each objective should have specific goals associated with it to track progress effectively.

Set goals to define markers of success for your team and more easily measure the impact you're making.

Assign team members to keep track of progress made

Assign individual team members to own updating the progress of each goal to ensure accountability, collaboration, and communication toward this outcome.

By default, goals are assigned to all team members; you can customize the assignment while adding or editing a goal.

When a goal is assigned to an individual team member, they’ll be notified of this assignment via email. 

 

Upon saving a goal, it will be added to the corresponding objective. You can set multiple goals within each objective to measure progress on reaching this outcome

Step 4: Make your goals measurable

Adding a measurement to your goal enables you to track quantitative progress toward desired outcomes.

Here, you can define the specific targets and metrics that you and your team will focus on.

Consider measuring goals across multiple dimensions, such as different populations or segments, to provide a more in-depth and comprehensive understanding of your impact.

If you already have some progress towards a goal, you can set a starting value to accurately track progress from a specific point.
